SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Energy Monitor Sponsorship: $1,200

The Solar Water Heater Sponsorship: $1,500

The Renewable Energy Sponsorship: $6,000

Not only good exercise but a great way to generate electricity. We’re building a bicycle generator to engage participants in discussions and demonstrations of alternative energy!

The Good Foundation Sponsorship: $600

The Beetle Kill Pine Sponsorship: $2,000

The Living Roof Sponsorship: $2,000

The Waste Reduction Center Sponsorship: $5,000

The Bike Generator Sponsorship: $250

Every home needs to be built on a good foundation. Help the Sustainable Skoolie ensure a strong foundation with our Good Foundation Sponsorship. This sponsorship will cover the costs of preparing and protecting the metal floor of the bus, as well as putting down insulation and subfloor, literally laying the foundation for the rest of the build.

Help us monitor our energy usage with smart outlets and light sockets. These unique devices will allow us to monitor the energy usage of specific appliances, as well as set schedules and timers to optimize energy efficiency. The Energy Monitor Sponsorship will allow us to show participants in real time how much energy it takes to power individual items and how to minimize their energy waste.

We all know hot water is essential to comfortable living, so let’s make it without using fossil fuels! The Dud Shemesh, or Solar Water Heater Sponsorship will cover the costs of the purchase and installation of the solar water heating system.

The Sustainable Skoolie ceiling is a shelter of peace in more than one way. Not only does a ceiling make you feel safe and protected, our use of Beetle Kill Pine products ensure the forest is being protected too. This wood is harvested from Pine trees that have been killed by bark beetles, which leave behind a beautiful blue fungus. So it is not only sustainable, but looks amazing too.

The living roof is a very special part of the Sustainable Skoolie. The living roof will act in three distinct ways. First, it will act as a carbon sink absorbing carbon emissions from the bus, bringing the Sustainable Skoolie closer to a carbon-neutral, or even carbon-negative footprint. Secondly, the living roof will act as extra insulation for the bus, keeping it warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer by up to a six-degree difference. Lastly, the living roof will act as a classroom to educate about permaculture, the carbon cycle, pollinator protection, and so much more!

The living roof is being Co-Sponsored by Hazon Colorado

Bal Tashchit is an important Jewish value and one that guides our work. One of Sustainable Skoolie Adventure’s main goals will be to inform participants on waste reduction practices, including proper recycling, different forms of composting, and ways to reduce the wasteful packaging and products we buy every day. The Bal Tashchit Center will be a covered back porch addition on the bus with various waste disposal options. This will allow us to act as a recycling and composting site while in communities or at festivals.

Help power the Sustainable Skoolie with a complete off-grid solar energy system. Everything electrical on the Sustainable Skoolie will be powered by the sun, making it possible for us to set up workshops anywhere. The Renewable Energy Sponsorship covers the costs of all the components, as well as the installation of a 1,200 watt array of solar panels.

The Pure Water Sponsorship: $450

Water is essential to life, and even more so, clean water. The Mayim Tahor (Pure Water) sponsorship covers the cost of a fresh water reverse osmosis system as well as a grey water processing filter, allowing us to safely reuse our wastewater to irrigate our living roof garden.

The Warm & Cozy Sponsorship: $500

Help keep the Sustainable Skoolie warm and cozy with a super efficient mini wood stove! We can't wat to install our Cubic Mini Cub, which can warm up to 200 square feet. The Wood Stove Sponsorship covers the stove, flu pipes, and installation.

The Cooking Up a Storm Sponsorship: $1,700

No kitchen is complete without a stove and an oven. To limit our electricity usage, and find other alternative fuels, we found the Origo 6000, the ONLY oven/stove combination fuels by non-pressurized alcohol! The lack of pressurization makes it safer, and the alcohol is renewable. The clean Fuel Cook Stove Sponsorship covers the stove/oven, shipping, and venting accessories.

The Sheep Shearing Sponsorship: $800

We live in a world dependent on plastic. At Sustainable Skoolie Adventure, we try to avoid plastic at all costs. We couldn't find metal water tanks ANYWARE! So, we are going to custom fabricate our fresh and grey water tanks out of stainless steel, so eventually, they will be recyclable.
