SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION

INTERNSHIP

We are seeking Sustainability Education interns for our inaugural cross-country community education tour. Interns will travel on the Sustainable Skoolie, a 250 sq ft sustainability classroom on wheels, to bring sustainability education and community organizing training to communities across the country. There will be 1-2 Lead Educators and 1-2 Interns on the bus during the tour, but they need not be the same interns the entire tour. Applicants must be able to live communally in close quarters. 

 

Qualifications

  • Background/Interest in environmental science, climate change, sustainability, or 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Some College or Equivalent Work Experience Preferred

  • Applicants must be at least 18 to apply

 

Job Description

  • Facilitate sustainability workshops for all ages (lesson plans supplied)

  • Must be prepared for up to 10 hour days, but also lovely days off, in lovely places.

  • Interacting with individuals of all levels of environmental literacy, and answering their questions without judgment.

  • Setting up and taking down workshop set-up, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
